November 25 Workday

Bruce touches up the paint before we lay the decking

Dee noticed that one of the passenger car’s front + rear trucks were worn. Ken & Tom provided on the spot repairs

A small group of dedicated folks showed up to work on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. While we’re hoping for rain but trying to get done everything that requires dry weather. This includes grading and pouring cement. At this time of the year, we need to wait a few hours after arrival for the temperature to rise enough to paint and pour cement. Last week, Matt, & Dee moved all of the water based fire extinguishers from the right-of-way inside to prevent them from freezing.

Brooke & Sierra (Dee’s girls) traveled the right-of-way to clear debris in prep for the November run weekend. Bruce had blown the right-of-way the day before; minor hand touchups to clear stuff was required.
