September 10 Workday

Bruce touches up the paint before we lay the decking

Bruce lit the tunnel so you don’t trip over the joists

Bruce continues to lead the tunnel installation effort. The tunnel is now waterproofed. The roof’s peel-and-stick membrane must have a layer of plywood applied next. After the plywood the tunnel can be backfilled.

Lance worked to protect the signal system’s signage. We don’t want UV exposure to cause all the signs to fade out. He left the signals on all week and determined that some circuits will last for a week on battery power with solar charging whilst other circuits have too big a drain to be left on all the time.

After lunch folks worked in the shop due to low air quality. A number of folks worked on the TIG welder. Carl tidied up the shop and Bob built a few track panels. Kevin worked on design drawings for the Rabbit Flat and Caboose Tunnel yards.
