Tom and Carl install a switch stand at rabbit flat and the fun begins.
Big news this week:
Kevin, with ballasting help from Dee and Matt, completed the approach route to the Lumber Camp Bridge,
Tom and Carl installed the switch at rabbit flat reopening the Alpine Route,
Normal run direction was set as the default again,
The Lumber Camp Bridge/Sliver Bridge downhill route was completed!
Engineers (and their trains) can now either return to the station via the High Bridge or via the Alpine Route as use to be the case. More interestingly is that they can now take the Lumber Camp loop, come down the silver bridges, and then return to the station via either of the two routes just mentioned!
We also had David and his family stop by for a train ride. Always a welcome diversion.
