February 6 Workday

Bruce touches up the paint before we lay the decking

Mike, Ken, and Dave (Mike’s guest) work on trestle foundation for the Lumber Camp Bridge

Work was taking place on both the east (steel truss) and west (redwood trestle) sides of the Lumber Camp Bridge today. On the trestle side surveying and digging. On the truss side mixing and pouring cement. While we had the mixer going a sono tube was placed under the summit’s silver bridge and filled with cement to stabilize the bridge’s footing.

In the shop Russ was working on converting a switch from PT to plastic wood. Tom and Carl were working on a new shelf unit for steel fabrication area. Brandon delivered a torch that will be use to help bend steel for guard rails.

Gil and Rene completed a survey of track panels pre-built for the lumber camp bridge. They are almost all built.
