Our run weekend turned into a very successful work weekend. We had a hearty crew who were happy to be away from home and at the railroad. There were six projects we focused on:
Extending the grade beams for some of the trestle bents (see video below)
Welding the truss section in place
Installing hand railings
Switch maintenance
Curving and drilling rail for track panels
Locating the final home for the Redwood Canyon Bridge

It took a large team to extend the grade beam for the Lumber Camp Bridge’s trestle. Miles liked the electric hammer; he was disappointed that I did not follow-up on my proposal to bring dynamite to bear on the task.
