Bruce delivers one of two Lakeside Siding Bridges
Now everyone is focused on restoring the mainline in the Lakeside Siding area. The goal is to have everything back in place for the November run. We’ll probably need an extra work day or two to make this happen. If it is not complete then we can use the run weekend itself to continue and complete the required work.
Progress today was great. About 10 attendees, Tom, Carl, Matt, Bruce, Kevin H, Ed S., Mike, Lance, and Russ. Ken dropped by,
The lads got the bridge delivered and in position; awaiting steel leveling feet for the corners. Bruce has ordered the ground contact Pressure Treated wood like we have in the tunnel from JR at Pinecone. Tom and Carl worked on the GG barn mini bridge too.
Mike painted all the window frames with the new gray color. Mike delivered the window panes, cut to size with faux mullions taped on.
Track saw blades arrived, and they are terriffic. Cut like ‘butta’ Took a while to get the saw aligned, but now that we’re almost done, I’ve mastered it.
Mike cut the remainder of the log, that was on the mill, the short nice redwood log into 4x4’s(3.5 x 3.5) with considerable waning (bark on the edge); so; = rustic. One small log left to go. Then, we can disassemble and clean up. December, probably, maybe…
