Kevin & Bruce survey for the truss section’s grade beam placement
A cool and sometimes rainy day drove most people into the shop.
Bruce and Kevin completed survey work for the Lumber Camp Bridge. Two questions were answered:
Kevin, Bill, and Bruce concluded that the planned track from the Bridge towards the Caboose “Lumber Camp North Spur” on our current map can’t be built because of the >4% grade for 200’+ of track. This decision to delete this spur will greatly simplify the task of building the trestle section of the Lumber Camp Bridge.
The location of the grade beam for the Truss section was sited at just this side of the hand railing (in the photo above). This staircase will need to be moved a bit.
