‘Twas a warm day that required folks to take frequent fluid breaks and rest. Bruce and Kevin finished the install of the Rabbit Flat sprinkler box. Bruce and his painting inspector (Bob) painted the first Lumber Camp bridge section with a new style of electric HVLP paint gun. The HVLP sprayer sounds just like a hair dryer. A video of this job can be found below. Tom & Jerry continued to work on the Lumber Camp Bridge mirror section of the center arch. Gil and Renee teamed up to build track panels for the Lumber Camp Bridge.
The July run weekend morphed into two workdays with guest trains passing through every so often. With Help from Ed Holland, Kevin continued with his survey work while Bruce dug and formed the grade beam for the Lumber Camp Bridge’s steel truss section. No cement was poured as it was over 90 degrees by the time the forms were complete.
On Sunday Bruce painted the Truss section of the Lumber Camp Bridge before it got too hot.
