December 5 Workday

Bruce touches up the paint before we lay the decking

The final arch was installed

It was a dry but muddy day for installing a bridge. The wet rails made it easier to push the bridge into position and to execute a controlled slide into position. Bill was the master of ropes and pulleys. Bruce is the mast of grit and shove. Bob, Russ, and Kevin held the ropes whilst Dee jumped from task to task as needed.

Mike and Russ adding decking for some of the final arch. Tom, Carl, and Bill bolted the arch to the existing section of the bridge. Per Russ the new section is spot on level with the previous section. Now, we can plan the next grade beam and design the final steel bridge section.

Kevin W, Dee, and Bob moved all the fire extinguishers to building 4 to prevent them from freezing.
