Lights highlighted a joyous time of the year
Bruce brought his vision of a Polar Express night run to life. We were fretting about the weather which turned out to be perfect. Bruce brought his usual energy to the planning and setup which saw lights installed on our major structures and the right-of-way primped to perfection.
The pot luck dinner was organized by Bruce’s family and friends. Everyone was asked to bring something to the event and we had more than we could eat for the feast which was centered on tri-tip.
Brandon (kerosene), Ed (propane), and Bill (coal) had their steamers out. The air was cool enough to showcase our steam operation. A couple of speeders and the club engine were ferrying guests around as the temperature dropped into the 40s.
Many still photos are by Chris Farrar. The video (below) was made for us by Paul Patterson.
Thanks to all who attended and helped make the event a big success.
